We are excited to announce the 2010 Virgin River Basin Calendar photo context. Pull out any great photos you have of the basin and submit your entries at this web site. Each contestant can enter a maximum of ten (10) photos.
Entries are due by September 30. Winners will be notified in October and the calendar is to be released in late November. The Grand Prize Winner will be awarded an IPod Shuffle and their photo will be featured on the calendar’s cover.
Photos are to showcase aspects of the Virgin River Basin including: landscape, wildlife, seasons in the basin, the river and the river as a recreation venue.
Photo Specs
To assure the highest quality calendar production, it is strongly recommended that all photos be no smaller than 6 MEGAPIXELS (2000X3000 MEGAPIXELS). Please submit photos in a JPEG format. The size of the file in megabytes may vary and the upload speed of the photo is based on your Internet connection and file size. Please note that a MEGAPIXEL (resolution) is different than a megabyte (file size).
Photos may still be submitted that are below 6 MEGAPIXELS, BUT PHOTO QUALITY WILL BE A FACTOR WHEN SELECTING THE 13 MAIN WINNERS (CALENDAR COVER PLUS TWELVE MONTHS). Other photos may be used in the sidebar areas of the calendar and will provide photo credit, but are not considered one of the 13 winners.
